How to search

Search by Artist

• To search for your favorite artist (performer or musical group), select ARTIST in the drop down box, then simply type the artist's name into the text box.
• When entering an individuals name, you can either search by BAND NAME, FIRST NAME LAST NAME or LAST NAME, FIRST NAME (capitalization is not important)
• For a FIRST NAME LAST NAME search you need to enter the complete name (as in "Perry Como"). For a LAST NAME, FIRST NAME search you don't need to type in the full name. A partial name will return all possible matches, (as in just "Como" will give you a list of choices).

Search by Album

• If you are searching for an album by title, select TITLE in the drop down list, and type your entry into the text box.

Search by Song

• When you only know the song title and not the artist or the album, select SONG TITLE from the drop down list and enter the song title into the text box.
• You may come up with several options for a common title (i.e.: I Love You). There will be many songs listed and you will need to sort through it to find the particular one you are looking for.

Searching For Soundtracks, Cast Recordings and Various Artist Compilations

• Original Soundtracks and Original Cast Recordings (as well as Various Artists Collections) can be found by selecting SOUNDTRACK in the drop-down box, and then typing the title of the Film, Musical, TV Show or Compilation title into the text box.
• Some Soundtracks, Cast Recordings and Compilations are listed differently in our database. If you are unsuccessful at locating the album you were looking for, a list of helpful tips will be made available to you to redirect your search.
